The PAWds at PUPVille
From the minute we opened our PUPStop facility in Baker, Florida, Saving with Soul had a Vision of an “Adoption Village” where we could house adoptable dogs in an adorable setting, where it would be easy for potential adopters to visit with them in (relative) peace, without feeling as if they were in a typical shelter.
Full of enthusiasm and with a recent generous donation burning a hole in our pockets, we began implementing our Vision in early 2024. Of course, as these things tend to go, it was far more complicated (and expensive) than we thought it would be.
The cool thing (one of them anyway) is that at first, the stars most definitely did NOT align and we were told in no uncertain terms by the Powers that Be that our Village was NOT going to happen. (Permits and such, you know what I mean.) But, the delay turned out to be a blessing in disguise because by the time we had recovered from the disappointment, another option presented itself which made the Village SO SO SO much more doable! (Think SHADE versus NO SHADE.)
So more than a year later, in May of 2025, we finally put the finishing touches on “The PAWds at PUPVille” and introduced it to the community to rave reviews!
